Lidia's road to qualification is much harder that Eduard Romanyuta's at this point last year.
Moldova have just selected their 2016 challenger from O Melodie Pentru Europa 2016.
Lidia Isac will travel to Stockholm with the song Falling Stars.
Falling Stars is full of the usual dance song platitudes, and as a Eurovision entry, it is rather poor. What’s worse, is Lidia’s vocals lack the tone, control and power this song need. The arrangement also lacks originality and doesn’t push the boundaries from the hundreds of other tacky dance songs entered over the years.
Admittedly, the Moldovan national final studio wasn’t up to scratch, so it’ll be interesting to hear Lidia perform at one of the pre-Eurovision concerts. It’s worth remembering that Eduard Romanyuta ended up being quite good last year, but still missed out on qualification. I think Lidia’s road to qualification is much harder.
Can Moldova qualify from semi-final 1?
