  1. On one hand it’s good for Russia and Italy to be only real contenders in second half, but will they now just be seen as yet another ballad in a sea of them? Still think Sweden can win this from a 10-13 draw.

  2. Azerbaijan is in the 2nd half

  3. Well I’ve made a running order. It’s just total idealism really, not much speculation, a little bit of prediction work perhaps. Just for fun.

    • Right, Azerbaijan is in the second half, as pointed out above. Never mind. 😛

      • It’d be a bit silly putting three ballads in slots 10-12 when the whole second half is full of them. They ought to put a run of pop songs in 10-13.

    • You do know that slots 10-13 are usually reserved for songs that were Top 3 in the semi final, right? Plus maybe an automatic qualifier. No way will Sweden be anywhere near fifth in the running order. It’s a TV show, they have to save the “excitement” of the favourite until later.

I’ve had a go at that section as well, for what it’s worth.

      10. Norway
      11. Sweden
      12. Estonia
      13. Belgium
      ========
      14. Austria

  4. The first half is relatively varied.
The 2nd half is one long sleeping pill. By the time they are finished everybody will be drunk or very, very tired.

  5. Stephen Colville

Sweden still most likely winner, Italy have a good shot and I wouldn’t rule out Norway and especially Georgia.

  6. If Norway land a 10 to 13 slot, on the basis of their incredibly classy showing tonite, they are Top 4 material.

It is distinctive, soulful and stands out. Too many of the others are competing on similar turf.

However, if it gets the 2nd slot, forget all the above.

  7. Go Mans, might as well already give him the trophy.

  8. I agree with those of you saying that Sweden’s performance wasn’t as impactful as expected but I’m pretty sure it made big impact on those who saw it for the first time. Personally, I was most emotionally touched by Russia’s song and performance.
