San Marino: Michele Perniola & Anita Simoncini – Chain Of Light

Last night, San Marino added to their back-catalogue of Ralph Siegel songs with the release of Chain of Light. Its singers, Michele Perniola & Anita Simoncini will perform in the first half of the second semi-final. Yes, that's your semi-final Azerbaijan. Let the money start flowing. I won't dwell on this song, given its sickly, over-sentimental and mawkish composition. It is Eurovision as it was 20+ years ago and I'm afraid to say that San Marino are cruising towards non-qualification. Maybe rehearsals will show more promise. Can San Marino surprise this year? Make sure you follow the ESCtips…

  1. The live performance of this is like a car-crash waiting to happen.

  2. Boy and girl are only 16 years old. The song is very poor. San Marino competes in the stronger semi final 2 (first half). This is guaranteed non-qualifier. It’s sad but it’s true.
