  1. Early thoughts.Semi 2.Hugely positive for Poland. If they send a jury friendly song they might be winning the semi.UK,Italy and Germany all voting here where Polish people make up a large demographic.Iceland where they are the 2nd biggest demographic and Czech Republic.
Very very poor draw for Azer. The only 12 might come from their jury members on the Malta jury.

Semi 1 looks like the death semi.Russia,Serbia and Greece should be strong with good songs.Denmark might be in trouble here.Finland will probably give Estonia their 12 if Elina wins as shes very popular there so not Denmark.Estonia will also be a great lay for the win if they are semi favourites as their certain 12s from Lith and Latvia arent here. The east and Balkans are calling the shots.

  2. Poland is in SF 2, second half. Looking through the list for allies, aka our diaspora…

Germany, UK, Norway, Ireland, Iceland. Sweden, Latvia and Lithuania to some extent…

Yeah, we’d have to send something horrible not to have a shot at the final. Or maybe just as jury-unfriendly as last year. 🙂

  3. I’m reasonably happy with irelands semi, not too happy that we are in the first half but at least were not in semi 2 ( i would have collapsed if we were)

  4. i think we will get some big shocks in semi 1, with so many big hitters in there,

  5. Is there a reason they don’t pick out the halves for the Big 5 in the final at this point? Why do they have to do it during rehearsals? I don’t get it.

  6. the second semi is very interesting, you’ve got almost all the underdogs in there, the first certain qualifiers based on past voting’s would be sweden, azerbaijan, norway, malta, iceland. the rest is all up in the air, id like to think my own beloved ireland have a decent chance of getting through but i don’t want to jinx it so ill keep shut about that, and for the first time in a long time we can say that latvia have a good shot at qualifying! and could potentially knock out lithuania because nearly all the countries that vote for lithuania will also vote for latvia and latvia have a later draw and generally send better songs imo.
