Softengine Are This Year’s Eurovision Triumph

Common Linnets step aside, it seems Finland’s Softengine are this year’s big triumph!

Fresh from their deserved Eurovision success (top-3 in semi-final and highest final placing since Lordi), the Finnish five-piece have just released their follow up single to Something Better, and guess what, it’s even better!

The lads have produced a rousing, summery, indie hit that should be this year’s official driving soundtrack (lower roof where possible). It’s already on repeat in my car!

Impressively, Yellow House has topped the Finnish i-tunes chart on its first day of release, so hopefully the song gets some traction outside of Finland.

Is Yellow House on your playlist yet?

  1. Great song, thanks for the tip! This would have been one to watch, had it been a Eurovision entry.
